He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl W. Shelton and Laura Durham Shelton. He is survived by: his daughter Crystal; his son-in-law Jimmy Upchurch of Pilot Mountain; his granddaughters, McKenzie Jordan Upchurch of Pilot Mountain and Madison Olivia Upchurch of Pilot Mountain; his great grandchild Adalyn Gray Covington of Pilot Mountain; and his brothers, Kelly (Hazel Shelton), Marcus (Mary Shelton) and Kim (Gail Shelton).
