It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Southern Gray of Pilot Mountain, North Carolina, who passed away on January 2, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John F. Southern and Effie May Kiser Southern; her husband Harry Robert Gray, III; her son-in-law Don Swearengin; and her brothers, Tony Southern and Charles Southern.
She is survived by: her children, Michelle Swearengin, Deana Rutherford, Karen (Richard Pell) and John Eric Gray; her grandchildren, Andrew Rutherford, Sheree, Austin Rutherford, Tucker Anschutz, Erica Gray, Thomas Pell, Ashley and Billy Mullins; her great grandchildren, Brantley Mullins, Maximus Mullins and Ashleigh Haynes; and her sister Bonnie Booe.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Pinnacle Baptist Church (1054 E Old Phillips Rd, Pinnacle, NC 27043). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
