He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Manuel Atkins; his parents, Rural Junior Atkins and Emma Pearl Cain Atkins; his stepfather Lester Swift; his son Randall Glenn Atkins; his great grandchild Maddox Colt Haymore; and his siblings, Mary Jane, Betty Sue, Mamie, Lilly and Paul Swift.
He is survived by: his sons-in-law, Annette Harden, Randy Harden, Sheila Easter, Rick Easter, Renee Watson and Keith Watson; his brother Kenneth Swift; and his niece Dawn Hughes (Mike). He is also survived by ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren.
