Archie Stanley Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 14, 2020, at the age of 70, Archie Stanley of Pilot Mountain, North Carolina, born in Surry, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Martin and Gladys Culler Stanley; and his siblings, Aldis Brown, Clifford Stanley, Larry Stanley and J. C. Stanley.
He is survived by: his wife Glenda Pike Stanley; his son Michael Lewis; his daughter-in-law Patti Stanley of Walnut Cove; his granddaughter Molly Stanley (Jim Bob Galyean) of Dobson; his stepgrandchildren, Amanda Krupel, Samantha Bullin and William Lawson; his great grandchildren, Colton Hice, Carter Hice, Gabby Krupel, Maci Krupel and Katlin Hice; his sister Amolene; his brother-in-law Jerry Poindexter of Dobson; his brother Jack Stanley of Mount Airy; and his sisters-in-law, Minnie Stanley of Siloam and Jennie Mae Dorrity (Frank) of Greensboro. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Respecting the current limitations of numbers for public gatherings at this time (COVID-19), a service of worship and celebration of Archie's life will be held Sunday, July 19, 2020, at 2:00 PM at Faith Baptist Church, with the Rev. Randy Edwards officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Copeland Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 169 Stony Knoll Road, Dobson, NC 27017; or Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mount Airy, NC 27030.
