He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Cleveland and Rosa Barrow Ham; his former wife Nannie Mae Ham; his siblings, J. C. Ham, Earl Belcher, Margaret Grant, Wilma Rouse Gillespie and Mildred Edmundson; and his stepson Randy Gardner.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce W. Ham; his children, Tim Ham (Amy) of Goldsboro and Terry Lynn Senters of Goldsboro; his stepsons, Dale Gardner (Anita) of Bailey, Keith Gardner (Connie) of Bailey and Jeff Gardner (June) of Bailey; his siblings, James Elvin Ham of Delaware, Lorraine Sasser of Pink Hill and Nelda Avery of Kinston; his grandchildren, Brianna Carrier, Mackinzie Ham, Natalie Ham and Crystal Conner; his great grandchildren, Emree and Riley; and his niece Rose Williams (Wayne) of Washington, NC. He is also survived by six step-grandchildren; and nine step-great grandchildren.
