He is survived by: his wife Linda Grice Smith; his daughters, Pamela D. Smith of Goldsboro and Renee S. Alexander (Richard) of Goldsboro; his grandchildren, Kyle Alexander (Liz), Justin Lancaster, Joshua Lancaster and Mcaylin Lancaster; his sister-in-law Mariam Smith of Winston Salem; and his pet Sophie.
