He is survived by: his daughters, Sherrie Deans of Raleigh and Kim Deans of Lumberton; his siblings, Sydney Deans of Virginia, Jerry Deans of New Bern, Randy Deans of Pikeville and Shelby Ward (Bob) of Tennessee; his grandchildren, Jason Kearney (Michelle) and Krista Kearney (Cris); his great grandchildren, Tyler Kearney, Sarah Kearney, Emma LeDuc and Olivia Florwick; and his friend Diane Stewart.
