It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joe Sasser of Pikeville, North Carolina, who passed away on July 6, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Robert and Sophie Lancaster Sasser; his brother Carlton Sasser; and his great grandchild Macy. He is survived by: his wife Mary Lancaster Sasser; his children, Joseph Michael Sasser (Becky) of Pikeville, Mary Jo Sauls (Tom) of Eureka and Michele Bass (Keith) of Eureka; his sister Audrey Chase of Pikeville; his grandchildren, Cassidy Barrow (Tyler), Tyler Gray (Michele), Brandon Sauls, Kris Bass (Alexis), Jesica Bass (Corie) and Riley Sasser (Deja); and his great grandchildren, Caison, Skyler, Ryan, Landon, Hope, Faith, Caroline and Aubrie.
