She was predeceased by: her parents, William Edward Satterfield and Sybil Lee Benton Satterfield; her husband David Lawrence Gurley; and her brothers, William L. Satterfield, Fred L. Satterfield and Benton Satterfield.
She is survived by: her children, Teresa Gurley Shearin (Grover Todd Shearin) and David Edward Gurley (Amy Goehring Gurley); her grandchildren, Stuart Charles Shearin (Jenny), William Todd Shearin, Jackson David Shearin (Lori Ann), David Thomas Gurley and Avery Elizabeth Gurley; her great grandchildren, Addy Mae Shearin, Skylar Jean Shearin, Charles Finley Shearin and Palmer Grey Shearin; her brothers, Kenneth Satterfield (Kay), Charles Satterfield (Margy) and Norwood Satterfield (Joyce); and her sisters-in-law, Linda Satterfield, Peggy Sasser, Anne E. Gurley and Joan Smith (Randy). She is also survived by her children, son-in-law and daughter-in-law.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Pikes Crossroads Pentecostal Holiness Church (2494 Pikeville-Princeton Rd, Pikeville, NC 27863). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
