We are sad to announce that on January 16, 2021, at the age of 90, Benjamin Franklin Nichols of Pikeville, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mothers, Oceola Nichols and Ada Sasser; his wife Elga; his children, Greg Nichols (Rhonda) of Pikeville, Connie N. Gurganus (Marty) of Pikeville and Dwayne Nichols (Lisa) of Pikeville; and his grandchildren, Kate Nichols (Andrew Poole), Benjamin Nichols (Marah), Michael Gurganus, David Gurganus, Jonathan Nichols (Makayla) and Kristen Nichols.
The family has decided to not have a time of visitation following the service so everyone attending can social distance.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in his memory to Pike's Crossroads Pentecostal Holiness Church, 2494 Pikeville-Princeton Road, Pikeville, NC 27863 or to the Gideons, P.O. Box 10093, Goldsboro, NC 27530.
