He was predeceased by: his parents, James Odell and Gladys Mae Cornatzer Shore; and his aunt Carrie Cornatzer. He is survived by: his wife Linda Sue Burton Shore; and his children, Timothy, James and Lisa. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
