He is survived by: his sister Joann Hart of Winston-Salem; and his nephew Jonathan M. Harris of Kernersville.

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate memorials to be made to Francisco Presbyterian Church 7251 N.C. Highway 89 West, Westfield, NC 27053; or to the Wounded Warrior Project or your local animal shelter.
