He was predeceased by: his parents, John Greenup and Charlotte Greenup (Joyce Goff Greenup). He is survived by: his son Richard Greenup (Angela) of Crystal River, FL; his brothers, John Allen Greenup Jr. of Greensboro and Willard Dean Greenup (Jane) of Ayden; his grandchildren, Brenden Daniels (Allison), Kirsten Davis and Holly Greenup; and his great grandchild Griffin Daniels.
