It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Garland Ravond Bumgarner of Pfafftown, North Carolina, who passed away on September 17, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Dewey Bumgarner and Louisa Caroline Mash Bumgarner; his wife Mazie Dancy Bumgarner; his siblings, Virgil Bumgarner (Elaine), Willa Deane Hamby, Christine Dillard and Charlotte Bumgarner; his daughter-in-law Cindi Bumgarner (Scott); and his parents-in-law, Monroe and Faye Dancy.
He is survived by: his sons, Brent Bumgarner (Laura) of Raleigh and Scott Bumgarner of Wake Forest; his grandchildren, Stuart Bumgarner of Orlando, FL, Kathryn Bumgarner of Durham, NC and Keith Bumgarner of Wake Forest, NC.; his brother Carmel Bumgarner (Joan); and his sister-in-law Elaine Bumgarner of Millers Creek. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ardmore Baptist Church music fund.
