She was predeceased by: her father William Russell; her son Robert Rathbone Jr.; and her grandson Tyler Daniel. She is survived by: her husband Michael Nelson; her children, Danny Rathbone of Advance, Michael Rathbone of Winston Salem and Sheila Rathbone Robbins of Winston Salem; her stepson Greg Nelson; her brother Eugene Russell (Dee) of Waynesville; her grandchildren, Bobby and Samantha; and her great grandchildren, Connor, Logan, Lillian, Dallas, Joshua and Nasir.
