He is survived by: his parents, Joshua Rose and Lucy "Belle" Rose; his wife Janice Vinson Rose; his children, Donna Davis (Mike) of Portsmouth, VA and Joseph Hudson Rose Jr. (Leeann) of Pendleton, NC.; his grandchildren, Matthew Scott Hardison (Mary Hunter), Allison Hardison LeGrande (Mike), Casey Rose Thomas, Jo Ann Forbes (Cliff) and Willie Joshua Rose (Morgan); and his great grandchildren, Ben, Hattie Jane Hardison, Finn Thomas, Hart LeGrande and Polly Rose Forbes.
The service will consist of a memorial for Janice Rose as well, due to Covid restrictions preventing a service at her passing on July 27, 2020.
