He was predeceased by: his parents, Boyd Strickland and Ila E. Strickland; his wife Mary Faye Strickland; and his sisters, Shelby Gibson, Belva Davis and Audrey Jacobs.
He is survived by: his children, Angela Barnes (Jimmy) of Pembroke, Carol Strickland, Rose Maria Cummings (Dean) of Maxton and Stephen Boyd Strickland; his siblings, Daniel Strickland (Daphine) of Greensboro, NC, Harvey Strickland of Pembroke, Shand Strickland of Pembroke, Ronnie Strickland of Pembroke, Jeanette Blue of Pembroke, Lisa Lowery (Nelson) of Red Springs, Ruby Hunt of Fairmont and Irene Locklear of Red Springs; his grandchildren, Brittany Smith (Blake), Corey Rice (Chris), Kenny Strickland, Kellie Strickland, Branlon, Braedon, Bethani, Kamryn, Greyson and Addison Cummings; his great grandchildren, Clarke Rice and Ainsley Cummings; his daughter-in-law Sheila Strickland; and his caregivers, Destiny Hunt, Dillon Emanuel, Chris Kerstetter, Rose Hunt, Tasha Hunt and Laken Locklear. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
