She was predeceased by: her children, James G. Cummings, Emily A. Cummings and Paula K. Cummings; her parents, Ader Jacobs and Spurgeon Collins; and her siblings, Stenson K. Jacobs, Brenda Holzmacher and Debbie Gibs.
She is survived by: her daughter Maya Madrigal; her goddaughter Deanna Oxendine (Douglas); her sisters, Mary A. Oxendine, Mary Lowery (Marshall), Janice Wilke (Ken) and Sherly Daniels (Gene); her sister-in-law Yvonneda Jacobs; and her brothers, Harold Collins and Dannie Jacobs (Denise). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and a large extended family and friends.
