She was predeceased by: her parents, Benford Lowery Sr. and Thesia Lowery; her husband Pernell Deese; her sister Narva Maynor; her brother-in-law Roy Maynor Jr.; and her nephew Jay Lowry.
She is survived by: her daughters, Elaine Brewington (Tim) and Alisa Freeman (Nelson); her grandchildren, Timothy Conner Brewington, Benjamin Pernell Brewington, Emma Grace Elaine Brewington and Samuel Cole Brewington; her sister Janice Bryant; her brother-in-law Eugene Bryant; her brother Benford Lowry Jr.; her sister-in-law Geraldine Lowry; her niece Ursula Lowry; and also Pernell. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Mt. Airy Baptist Church (7209 North Carolina Hwy 72, Pembroke, NC 28372). A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 at 3:30 PM at the same location.
