He was predeceased by: his mother Emma Jean Chavis; his son Master Holden Blake Chavis of Pembroke, NC; and his grandparents, Eddie Chavis, Blondell Chavis, Albert and Warnie Hunt.
He is survived by: his father Dallas Chavis of Fairmont, NC; his children, Scotty Lee Chavis Jr. (Brittany) of Pembroke, NC, April Michelle Chavis of Pembroke, NC and Megan Leah Chavis of Lumberton, NC; his grandchildren, Braeleigh, Janiyiah, Liam, Bladen, Kameron and Kaden; his siblings, Christopher Chavis, David Chavis (Lorie) of Dillon, SC, Bobby Chavis and Leighann Chavis of Fairmont, NC; and his cousin Stacey Chavis (Debra) of Fairmont, NC. He is also survived by six nieces, 5 nephews.
