She was predeceased by: her husband Ervin Locklear; and her children, Hubert Locklear, Harless Oxendine, Cathy Oxendine, Linda Oxendine, Carolyn Brooks and Shirley Brown.
She is survived by: her daughter Pearline Deal; her daughter-in-law Wanda Oxendine of Maxton; her siblings, Mary Locklear of Maxton and Sterling "Bobby" Locklear of Maxton; and her close friend Austin Barnes. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
