He is survived by: his children, Melvin Oxendine of Lumberton, Deanna Oxendine Walker of Lumberton, Carol Locklear of Lumberton, Betty Deese of Pembroke and Linda Bell of Pembroke; and his siblings, Eddie Jacobs of Pembroke and Ruthie Jane of Lumberton. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
