She was predeceased by: her husband Johnny D. Pappas; her parents, J. W. Oxendine and Girlene Oxendine; her brother Dewayne; her grandmothers, Annie Bell Maynor and Effie Jane Oxendine; and her close friend Steve Oxendine.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lakisha Hunt (Lenard) and Courtney Goins (Robie); her siblings, Betty Cummings (Preacher Mitchell), Wendy Hart (Robert) and Gene W. Oxendine (Pamela); her grandchildren, Caleb, Mason, Jeremiah, Lani, Luke, Landyn and Liam; and her stepgrandchildren, Anthony, Helena and Noah.
