He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Curtis and Annie Lois Oxendine; his brothers, James Luther Oxendine and Larry Oxendine of Rowland; and his granddaughter Destiny Nevaeh Oxendine.
He is survived by: his wife Betty of Rowland; his children, Lisa Scott-Jackson (Felix) of Parkton, Tara Oxendine, Louis Oxendine Jr. (Ann Margaret) of Rowland and Bryan Keith Oxendine (Kimberly) of Rowland; and his siblings, James Arnold, Ronnie, Horace, Thadys, Brenda, Connie and Doris. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren.
