She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie C. Oxendine and Jennie Oxendine; her siblings, Willie Mae Jones, Mozella O. Locklear, Sadie Mae Oxendine, Georgia Mae Oxendine, Jessie Lee Oxendine, William "Hoover" Oxendine Jr., James Alton "Dink" Oxendine, Rady Oxendine and Grady Oxendine; her son-in-law Arnold Raye Locklear; and her niece Brenda Fay Cummings.
She is survived by: her husband Herman Oxendine; her children, Laurie Ann Oxendine Locklear of Lumberton and Virgil Oxendine (Robert L. Canida II) of Lynchburg, VA; her siblings, Ella Mae Oxendine Taylor of Charlotte, Annie Mae Oxendine Jones of Prospect, Vanzetta Oxendine of California and Andrew C. Oxendine (Rachel) of Prospect; and her niece Patricia Oxendine Jones of Pembroke. She is also survived by relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 11th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Freedom Assembly of God (8721 Old Red Springs Rd, Red Springs, NC 28377). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 11th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 11th 2024 at the Oxendine Cemetery (5142 Oakgrove Church Rd, Lumberton, NC 28360).
