It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Locklear of Pembroke, North Carolina, who passed away on October 19, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Cleveland S. Hunt of Pembroke; her husband Sanford Locklear; and her brothers, Ervin Hunt and William Leslie Hunt. She is survived by: her children, Teresa (Ronald), Michael (Sharon) of Pembroke, Jerry (Rena) of Pembroke, Sanford Jr. of Pembroke, David of Pembroke and Jonathan (Alisha) of Pembroke; and her siblings, Willie F. Hunt, Cardale Hunt of Red Springs, Cleveland, Cletis Hunt of Pembroke, Marie Locklear of Pembroke, Brenda H. Locklear of Pembroke, Glenda Lowery of Pembroke and Linda Locklear of Red Springs. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
