She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Ward and Nora Smith Moore; her husband Newton Cummings, Jr.; her son-in-law Michael M. Sanderson; and her siblings, Luther Harbert Moore, Mary Francis Baker, Sarah Catherine Hunt, William Charles Moore, Cleo Locklear, Earl C. Moore, Carl Thomas Moore and Eliza Jane Sampson.
She is survived by: her daughter Cynthia Lynn Sanderson; her grandson Michael Ward Sanderson of Pembroke, NC.; and her brothers, Clement Richard Moore (Christine) of Prospect, NC and Claude Moore (Evelyn) of Danville, VA.. She is also survived by cousins, in-laws, nephews, nieces, church family and friends.
