She was predeceased by: her parents, Wardell Barton and Lizzie Barton; and her siblings, Delores B. Dial, Sally B. Bullard, Wendy A. Barton and Royal.

She is survived by: her children, Samuel Barton (Tammy) of Maxton, Jenny Barton (Terry) of Pembroke, Karen B. Godwin (Randy) of Pembroke and Erain C. Barton of Pembroke; her sisters, Helen Locklear (Peggy Hunt), Mabel Locklear of Lumberton, Emma Jane Brewer of Fayetteville and Mary Ann Graham (Linda Dial); her grandchildren, Jeramie, Taren, Kiah, Ashton (Bryan), Cody, Kailey and Brett; and her great grandchildren, Chloe, Kaitlin, Candence, Zoli, Aubrey and Ryker Crue. She is also survived by relatives and friends.
