He is survived by: his children, Claimon Lee Tyler (Peggy) of Winston Salem, Evelyn Oxendine of Rowland, Mary E. Hunt of Fairmont and Bertha Hunt Red Springs (Russell); and his granddaughter Grace Merinda Swaim (Jason) of Winston Salem.
