He was predeceased by: his parents, Lorraine Burnette Brooks and Earl Cardell Brooks. He is survived by: his children, Heather Brooks, Laura Brooks and Eric Brooks; his sisters, Sara Helen Heckwolf and Valina Hartman of Baltimore; his nieces and nephews, Annie Cummins, Karlie Hartman, Philip Heckwolf and Joseph Heckwolf; his great-nieces, River Heckwolf, Mary Heckwolf and Chloe Heckwolf; and his great-nephew Theodore Heckwolf. He is also survived by extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, if you have an interest, the family requests that donations in memory of Buck be contributed to the American Lung Association.
