She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Deese and Elizabeth Deese; her son Marshall Deese; and her siblings, Haynes Deese, Bradford Deese, Johnny Deese, Albert Deese, Elester Barnes, Bessie Strickland, Mabel Smith, Lula Locklear and Eula Maynor.
She is survived by: her husband Silas Strickland, Jr.; her son Harold Deese (Glenda) of Maxton; and her stepdaughter Samantha Lester (Mike). She is also survived by eight grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, & one great-great grandchild.
