He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Bose Motley and Rebecca Williams Motley; and his brother Jimmy Motley. He is survived by: his wife Louise Grasty Motley; his stepdaughter Cordelia Smith of High Point; his sons, Arthur Lee Motley (Perci) of Charlotte, Robin Terrell Motley of Pelham, Michael Vincent Motley (Katina) of Ruffin and Jeremy Motley of Pelham; and his sisters, Margaret Hairston (John T.) of Ruffin, Alice Hill (Albert) of Washington, District of Columbia, Doris Chatman of Silver Spring and Zettie Jones of Providence. He is also survived by four grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
