He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Herman Brown and Lucy Beard Brown; his wife Queen Brown; and his brothers, Henry Brown, Donald Brown and Charles Brown.
He is survived by: his children, Marvin Ingram (Yolonda) of Martinsville, VA, McKinley Brown (Vinna) of San Diego, CA, Stacy Brown of Roanoke, VA, Lenette Wallace of Danville, VA and Juanesta Slade (Calvin) of Pelham, NC; and his brother Paul Brown of Burlington. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
