He is survived by: his parents, Bud Wilkerson and Ruby Cook Wilkerson; his wife Betty Jean Cook; his daughters, Shannon Blackwell (Jamaine), Samantha Blackwell (John John), Sierra Cook (Barry Davis) and Stephanie Cook; his grandchildren, Jonathan Blackwell Jr., Jaelynn Blackwell, Autumn Blackwell, Alexis Blackwell, Aidan Blackwell and Sabrina Cook; and his siblings, Janet Dillard (Kenny), Debra Tuttle (Ron) and Tony Scearce.
