He was predeceased by: his spouse Tomiko Kihara; his parents, Jack and Nancy; and his brother Michael. He is survived by: his children, Angie Poppe, Andrew Preston, Alexus Bell, Ricky Poppe, Alison (Alex), Kaitlyn Giron (Jorge), Eliana Ford and Derrick (MaKenna); and his brothers, Jack (Janice), Joe (Judy) and Richard (Michelle). He is also survived by several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The military honors will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Leavitt Funeral Home (2036 Morven Rd, Wadesboro, NC 28170).
