He was predeceased by: his mother Edith McCurry Whisnant; his sister Michelle Whisnant; and his son Levi Whisnant. He is survived by: his father Steve Allen Whisnant, Sr. of Claremont; his wife Patricia "Pat" Whisnant; and his children, Zachariah Whisnant of Patterson Springs, Michael Walker of Patterson Springs and Jennifer Tomlin (Kris) of Shelby.
