He is survived by: his wife Judy Blackwell Higgins; his son Thomas Higgins of Parkton; his grandchildren, Amber Miron, Tateyna Higgins, Brittany Graham, Tiffany Melvin, Ben Young and Prescious Nicole Moore; his great grandchildren, Meressa Miron, Elly Miron and Kya Moore; his brothers, Michael Harrison Higgins of Asheville and Benjamin Higgins of Alabama; and his pet Sara.
