With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rupert Carter of Parkton, North Carolina, born in Cumberland, North Carolina, who passed away on June 2, 2020 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rupert Carter and Eula Mae Chavis Austin; and his brother Jerome Austin. He is survived by: his daughters, Tara M. DeButts of Red Springs, NC and Ana Franco of Fayetteville, NC; his stepfather Medford Austin of Hatteras, NC; and his siblings, Robert Austin of Hatteras, NC and Jean Moreno of Fayetteville, NC.. He is also survived by three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
