It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rachel Wright Carter of Parkton, North Carolina, who passed away on November 10, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bill Wright and Cordie Wright; her husband David Earl Carter; and her son-in-law Sam Lawing. She is survived by: her children, Wanda Taylor (Glenn), Nancy Lawing and James Earl Carter; her grandchildren, Melissa Lawing (Billy), Andrew Nystrom, Kimberly Lusignan (Josh) and Glenn Taylor II (Amanda); her great grandchildren, Kendall, Lorelei, Hunter, Landon, Hartleigh, Aspen and Trip; and her sister Ann Beavers.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to Parkton Baptist Church, 28 S. Fayetteville Street, Parkton, NC 28371 or to a charity of one's choosing.
