He was predeceased by: his brother Rafael Mendez. He is survived by: his parents, Moises Mendez and Taide Mendez Calixto; and his siblings, Jose Mendez, Felipe Mendez, Gerardo Mendez, Rosa Mendez, Irma Mendez and Juanita Mendez. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
