It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of David Carter of Parkton, North Carolina, born in Cumberland, North Carolina, who passed away on March 17, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Carter and Lula Everette Carter; and his son-in-law Sam Lawing. He is survived by: his wife Rachel Wright Carter; his children, Wanda Taylor (Glenn), Nancy Lawing and James Earl Carter; his grandchildren, Melissa Lawing (Billy), Andrew Nystrom, Kimberly Lusignan (Josh) and Glenn Taylor, II (Amanda); his great grandchildren, Kendall, Lorelei, Hunter, Landon, Hartleigh, Aspen and Trip; and his sister Dorothy C. Jackson of Parkton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials be made to Parkton Baptist Church 28 South Fayetteville Street Parkton, NC 28371.
