She is survived by: her children, Delores Johnston Mayo (Gray) of Grimesland, Sue Johnston Kepler (Bob) of Greenville, William Randolph "Randy" Johnston of Weaverville, NC and Garland J. Johnston Jr. (Cat Teague); her grandchildren, Timothy Mayo of Grimesland, Christy Oehrli, Rob of Mississippi, Kimberly Johnston Thompson (Brandon) of Virginia, Matthew Johnston of Mars Hill, Jeff Garland Johnston of Mars Hill, David Kepler of Greenville and John Kepler (Jessi) of Tito, Ohio; and her siblings, Rae Arnold of Jacksonville, NC, Selma Tyson Bowen of Greenville, Karen Ausbon (Steve) of Greenville, Linda Lee of Greenville and Don Lee (Carolyn) of Greenville. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
