He was predeceased by: his parents, Haywood Harris and Rosa Emma Thorpe Harris. He is survived by: his wife Alma Hart Harris; his daughter Lisa Smith Chavis of Oxford; and his siblings, Annie Ruth Johnson of Oxford, Barbara Fields of Oxford, Ida Marable of Oxford and Haywood Harris of Oxford.
Viewing was held on Sunday, March 30th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Wright Funeral Home Chapel (3724 Salem Rd, Oxford, NC 27565). A funeral service was held on Sunday, March 30th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
