He was predeceased by: his parents, James Nathaniel Downey, Sr. and Bessie Green Downey. He is survived by: his stepson Eric Downey of Durham; and his siblings, James Nathaniel Downey, Jr. of Durham, Paulina Downey of Orange, NJ, Eugenia Dove of Newport News, VA, Lois Howard of Durham and Patricia Downey of Durham.
All services will observe Covid-19 guidelines of face coverings and social distancing of six feet or more, no more than ten people in the building at any one time.
