She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Thorpe, Sr. and Maranda Smith Thorpe. She is survived by: her children, Preston Thorpe, Vanessa Smith (Sandy) of Oxford and Sharon Thorpe of Oxford; and her brother Rev. Ned Thorpe of Chapel Hill. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; five great grandchildren.
