He was predeceased by: his parents, Noah Laston McDaniel and Elsie Shaw McDaniel; and his sister Sylvia McDaniel Roth. He is survived by: his wife JoAnna Breedlove; his children, Mary Stephen "Missy" McDaniel Blanchard (Jerry, Jr.) of Hillsborough, NC and Alan Joseph McDaniel of Oxford, NC; his grandchildren, Shane Blanchard of Charlotte, Allison Blanchard LeCuyer (Ryan) of Knightdale, Cassidy McDaniel of Youngsville and Breanna McDaniel of Youngsville; and his sister Linda McDaniel of Newton, NC..
