We are sad to announce that on December 29, 2024, at the age of 90, Ruby G Thornton (Oxford, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Ruby is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Ruby's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Colonel Lee Harris and Gladys Daniel. She is survived by: her children, Janet McKelvey of Lubbock, TX, Garnet Hall of Maplewood, NJ and Garland Thornton of Mount Laurel, NJ. She is also survived by five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
