It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roger Contento of Oxford, North Carolina, born in Albany, New York, who passed away on December 22, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Contento and Lucy Eleanor Dillehunt Contento; and his brothers, William and Richard Contento. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Rector Contento; his children, Roger Contento of Florida, Anthony Contento of New York, Teresa Contento and Lynn Contento of North Carolina; and his grandchildren, Maria Rivera, Rebekah Rivera, Sara Rivera (Dylan), Joshua Rivera, Abraham Contento, Isaiah McCall, Nikolas Young, Jamie Young, Justin Contento, Sheena Contento, Alivia Contento, Marc Contento and Lexi Cartwright. He is also survived by 10 beautiful great grandchildren.
