It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Robert Taborn (Oxford, North Carolina), who passed away on March 24, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Taborn Sr. and Ceily Smith Taborn of Granville County, NC.; his wife Marthy Downey Taborn; his son Kenneth Downey; and his siblings, Nancy Harris, Pattie Holman, Elizabeth Green, Mary Taborn, Beatrice Majors, Earl Taborn Jr. and Joe Taborn.
He is survived by: his children, Dawn Taborn of Oxford, NC, Deborah Ramsey of Roxboro, NC, Greg Taborn (Sandra) of Williamsboro, NC, Robert Taborn Jr. of Wilton, NC and Joshua Taborn of Kittrell, NC; his sisters, Lillian Majors, Alice Jones and Versie Taborn; and his friends, Haskins, Gude Throckmorton and James Betts. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren.
