He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Samuel Daye, Sr.; his wife Carole Perry Daye; his daughters, Tamar Daye of Charlotte, Til Daye of Charlotte, Siyonka Braswell, Ebony Daye, Kysionia Daye, Tabatha McBroom and Durham; and his brothers, Wayne Daye, Demetrious Day and James Daye. He was also cherished by twelve grandchildren.
